Founded in 1982 on the initiative of La Rochelle hotelkeepers, the Club became the shop window of accommodation in La Rochelle and on the Ile de Ré.
The club has since merged with the hotels in île de Ré: it counts henceforth more than fifty hotelkeepers members. The purpose of the club is to be a place of exchange, sharing of experiences, mutualization between people working in the tourism industry. We lead a reflection and actions around the quality themes, around the tourist welcome but also around the stakes in the standards that oblige us the new legislations.
It is about finding solutions and answers that allow us to exercise our business in the best conditions and to serve our customers. The club will also represent the hotelkeepers to improve the reception quality on our destination.
Our club represents more than 4 million euros in turnover and 800 jobs (permanent employees and seasonal workers). This economic clout makes it one of the key players of tourism on the territory.
